I normally do all my cutting on the floor since our table isn't quite big enough for my cutting board. If you have animals then I am sure you know what happens when you sit on the floor- your animals think that you are coming to visit them. Misty decided to help me out below. I thought she might look cute draped in pieces of white fabric.
She then got bored of helping me quilt and retired to her crate to snuggle up with all her squeaky ducks and geese.
Although she kind of looks bored there too.
I found this little bee planter at an antiques store a few years ago and it was only $4.
My mom recently found this for me at the dump. I love the color and modern lines.
I have been thinking of starting an etsy shop to unload some of my little vintage treasures and extra sewing projects. Do you guys have any suggestions for newbies?

My advice for opening an Etsy store is -- DO IT!!! You can't go wrong. I've found it to be extremely user friendly. It's free to set up, you pay 20 cents for each item you post, and then they make a small percentage in profit for every item you sell. So if you open a shop and decide in two months that it's not for you, you're only out a few bucks. Not a bad investment.
You can choose PayPal to handle all your transactions, and so far, they've been easy-peasy to work with. They take a small percentage of your earnings as well, but it's worth it not having to deal with personal checks, etc.

i heart having a shop on etsy. i code web pages, but not having to do one to sell stuff right away has been great. if you want to be successful, post often and always keep up on your inventory. Good luck!

Misty looks lovely, decorated or not. When my dogs were young things, Bronco loved to jump on the bed when I folded laundry, and so I often piled all the clean clothes on top of him and watch him extricate himself. Just a little dog fun. :)

If you think dogs are bad, you should try toddlers . . .my littlest son runs back and forth on any blanket or quilt I set on the floor, and thinks the best thing in the world is to unfold all the fabric in my stash and play peek a boo with it. . . or to try to disassemble my sewing machine. Fortunately, he also looks cute draped in fabric, so its all good.

I always feel bad when the dog comes over wanting to play but I can't - he is never really happy unless he is outside playing, otherwise he just looks pathetic, which makes me feel very bad. He gets a nice long walk everyday but its never enough!
Let me know your experience starting on etsy...I planned to do it once I started my blog but I haven't had time yet, what with the blog! {cruel twist of fate...}
