Made

I made this from the hand painted fabric. A nifty little bag. I picked up a handbag at a yard sale last weekend for 50 cents. I snipped away the rest of the bag and used the handles for this one. Also, I can't recall if I mentioned that this fabric was from a sheet from the Goodwill.

I have to open up the sides a bit more because the opening is pretty tight right now.

You'd all be proud. I hand stitched the part around the handles with embroidery floss. I hardly ever hand stitch so I felt like I deserved a little extra dessert last night.

what a creative (great) bag! I love things that are re-purposed, especially with such flair.

so adorable! I've been wanting to make a fabric bag with wood handles for ages.

The green and coral in your new fabric looks so great together!

That is a great-looking bag! Nice job on the hand stitching. For the opening, just rip down the sides a few inches and you'll be good.

I am glad you made something with your fabric printing. The bamboo handles match the material and add a nice finishing touch.

This is great. Now, I will have to scope yard sales for some great handles like that as well! Nicely done :)

I just love the print and the matching green stitches ;-) I'm going to try the fabric paint I think .... perhaps a bunny print?
