Don't you just love getting mail? I have always been one of those people that eagerly awaits the mail, even though over the years I have been getting more bills than fun mail.
Fat Orange Cat and I did our own little scrap swap, where we made up loose guidelines (size, etc.) and mailed each other our scrap fabric.
I just love my little stash. It really has infused my fabrics with different colors. I have already started a mini quilt made from strips of these fabrics. I hope to show you the progress tomorrow. I love, love, love the bias trims that were included. I didn't get a great photo of them- but they remind me of being a kid for some reason. I would like to make a very simple apron and purse to show off the wonderful trim.
I have been sewing too! I should be able to show you some of my stitching this week. With the weather getting warmer and seeing the sunlight and all can you really blame me for doing more bike riding and photography lately?
How is this for a funky ring? It was one of the few things I purchased when I went out to California. I got it at a store called Therapy. I love how the ring sparkles.
So I signed up for the Phototrade, as I believe I mentioned before. I am very excited- but also nervous that my photo won't be great enough. This isn't the photo--but it is close to what it is. (I'll show soon)
Another giveaway to tell ya'll about over at the Stitching Surgeon. You really do need some stitches- trust me.
oh yes, and I almost forgot to mention. The votes are in and it looks like version #1 it is. Thanks for your help with this!
