The idea is from the great tutorial Fat Orange Cat has here. It was really nice to take a break from all the quilting I do and actually get something done. It was super simple to make and I enjoyed trying out fusible interfacing. In fact, I am now on a crazy interfacing roll and here are some shots of my next ambitious project. A Chinese lantern quilt. I am so excited about this baby.

They are still a little rough looking now. I need to get some better black fabric since this stuff sort of shreds when cut.

Thank you so much!
adorable owl! for some reason I'm afraid of fuseable webbing and interface...I need to just get over it and try it.

Wow, so adorable! I love your fabric choices too! :)
The pillow turned out awesome. I love that you based it on my tutorial but did your own thing with it. That's the best way to do things!
Oh, and I'm jealous about your Italy trip. The photos are beautiful.
I forgot to mention that I can't wait to see what happens to those lanterns. Beautiful colors.
