Thinking Hard About Spring

All the rain this weekend made it hard to be outside. The snow has slowly been melting, but I think we are going to have it for another few weeks at least. In the mean time, I've been digging through springy fabrics.

My mom made this little gingham chick.

I had signed up for a sashiko workshop and was unable to attend due to a class I have been taking. Good thing my mom likes to sew. She was able to attend and started this piece over the weekend. I should have more photos to share of the instructor's sashiko soon. I love sashiko. Sorry for the blurry photo. Once again, morning eyes.

For once I found a swap that is still open! I was just about to write a ranting post about how I never hear about swaps until after they happen when I found this lunch box swap by Oh, frasson! . The funny thing is, I am kind of nervous about signing up for it. My small object skills are not the best.

Please sign up for it! I'm sure your small object skills are better than you think. :)

I love sashiko! I have a great book about it, now I just need to buy some indigo cloth, needles and thread...someday soon, hopefully!
