Hand Printed

More hand printed fabric made from my own freezer paper stencil. Printed on salvaged linen. Light blue color with white paint.

I have a slew of wonderful art supplies arriving shortly and I can't wait to start creating.

Oh Betty you creative girl, you. I could see this stretched on canvas or pillows. WOW!

Oh, it's so well done, looks professional. I wonder how you get the paint to be so smooth?

Love, love, LOVE these whales! You've done it again!

The whales are awesome!!! What do you plan to do with the fabric? Hopefully something adorable, because it should not go to waste.

Have you considered selling your hand-painted fabrics on Etsy?

cute whales! I love freezer paper stencilling, but i wish they were more re-usable. I think my next printing venture will be the potato prints from Lotta's book. Have you done any of those yet?

Hi everyone! Thanks for the comments as always. I couldn't track down everyone's info to reply back to them.

Leslieanne: Thanks! It is fabric paint (non-puffy kind, in a jar I think called Jacquerds) so it paints on very smoothly. Although it isn;t perfect. You can definately "feel" the paint. I am going to try silkscreen paint next which i think lies smoother.

I like how the whales are close together, so they kind of interlock! The shape is great!

the whales are very cute , and the colours are just beautiful together. As Leslie said a cushion cover would look really nice.

I too am loving these whales. They are a great mix of whimsy and Escher-like geometrics.

Ditto what Shannon said! You've inspired me. I went to buy that Lotta book at B&N and all their copies were missing the patterns in the back! Rotten thieves. Anyway, I seriously love those whales. Great work!
