This is a doll sized quilts with embroidered sand dollars and starfish.
I based this quilt design off of an antique one spotted on ebay I think. It turned out more colorful and traditional than I like to go normally.
My four layer gauze experiment with appliqued circles.
Another doll quilt with an appliqued bee hive. I really liked the quilting on this one.
My mini hedgehog quilt. Disappearing nine block.
My Denyse Schmidt What a Bunch of Squares, done sans pattern just eyeballin it.
I'm showing a few pics of this one because it is one of my all time favorites.
Then for the back of that quilt I did these long stripes.
This quilt was made for my mom on Christmas (finished recently- yikes!)
I created the design- but of course was inspired by Denyse Schmidt and Gee Bend's.
An early quilt of mine- one of my firsts.
My first What a Bunch of Squares Denyse Schmidt quilt. I tried to follow her pattern here, but stopped on the second block.
Another early quilt of mine. I loved working with denim and have slowly been working my way back to it.
I made two of these I liked it so much. From Last Minute Patchwork book.
Then I made it in an orangy color for a niece.
oh, my I can't believe I have made this many quilts.
This one was made for a friend's wedding. I feel so guilty, because I still haven't mailed it to them yet.
This is just a super easy quilt I whipped up one day. I think I based it off of Denyse Schmidt's free form ideas.
Some super easy block monkey quilts for kiddos at Christmas
And of course, the quilt that really brought me back to quilting from DS's book. Pattern was called Hop Skip Jump I believe.

I've been reading your blog for a while, and your work is absolutely beautiful. Great quilt show!
They are all really stunning, but my favorites are the What a Bunch of Squares quilt with the striped back, and the yellow one you made for your mom. It's impressive to see them all in one place like this!
I still love and adore the lantern quilt, and am hoping to get a moment to breathe and make one of my own.

Ooooh! I love the online quilt show! All of your quilts are gorgeous.
I hear you on the Denyse Schmidt Quilts pattern pieces. I'm sure they're useful for people who don't quilt a lot, or who don't have a lot of confidence in their ability to improvise a block, but it would take me ten times longer to use them than to just improvise the block myself! (Such a great book though.)

This is such a beautiful and colorful post - I would be so proud if I had made so many lovely quilts. I think that the Denise Schmidt one is beautiful too ... but the hedgehogs and I love the stripey ones too .... too many to choose from - all really really lovely.
I LOVE this post. It is great seeing all your quilting works together. You've got such a talent for quilting, and a great eye for design. I'm a bit bummed because I finished my third ever quilt last night, and I just got in done in time to give to my mum who was catching a plane to my brother (the quilt is for their baby who is due in about 4 days) and of course...I forgot to take a photo. Dammit!!!! Ah well...
