Welcome to Bettyninja's online quilt show. (Idea for the online quilt show came from pal Tallgrass Prarie Studio)
Good news- admission- free. Directions-- you have already arrived. So please enjoy-- and feel free to touch the quilts (now when have you ever heard that at a quilt show)
All these quilts are by me- hiyyyyaaaa!
This is a doll sized quilts with embroidered sand dollars and starfish.
I based this quilt design off of an antique one spotted on ebay I think. It turned out more colorful and traditional than I like to go normally.
My four layer gauze experiment with appliqued circles.
Another doll quilt with an appliqued bee hive. I really liked the quilting on this one.
My mini hedgehog quilt. Disappearing nine block.
My Denyse Schmidt What a Bunch of Squares, done sans pattern just eyeballin it.
I'm showing a few pics of this one because it is one of my all time favorites.
Then for the back of that quilt I did these long stripes.
This quilt was made for my mom on Christmas (finished recently- yikes!)
I created the design- but of course was inspired by Denyse Schmidt and Gee Bend's.
An early quilt of mine- one of my firsts.
My first What a Bunch of Squares Denyse Schmidt quilt. I tried to follow her pattern here, but stopped on the second block.
Another early quilt of mine. I loved working with denim and have slowly been working my way back to it.
I made two of these I liked it so much. From Last Minute Patchwork book.
Then I made it in an orangy color for a niece.
oh, my I can't believe I have made this many quilts.
This one was made for a friend's wedding. I feel so guilty, because I still haven't mailed it to them yet.
This is just a super easy quilt I whipped up one day. I think I based it off of Denyse Schmidt's free form ideas.
Some super easy block monkey quilts for kiddos at Christmas
And of course, the quilt that really brought me back to quilting from DS's book. Pattern was called Hop Skip Jump I believe.
Well that concludes the show. Thank you all for attending. It was fun to collect all my quilts in one spot like this, although I feel like I may have left some out (I know several of my minis aren't in here).

I've been reading your blog for a while, and your work is absolutely beautiful. Great quilt show!
They are all really stunning, but my favorites are the What a Bunch of Squares quilt with the striped back, and the yellow one you made for your mom. It's impressive to see them all in one place like this!
I still love and adore the lantern quilt, and am hoping to get a moment to breathe and make one of my own.
So inspiring!!!!
AMAZING! I think the What a Bunch of Squares and the Coin Stack/Purl ones are my favorites!
you are so talented! I really like your colorful DS quilt and the baby quilt with the beehive on it.
I don't remember seeing those coin quilts on your site before...they are really cool! That quilt is on my wish list too.
Where did you get that hedgehog pattern? I have a secret love for hedgehogs and some fabric that I could use for that.
You are so talented! I love all of them!
The lantern quilt is fantastic! Did you use a pattern?
What a Bunch of Squares is GORGEOUS! You do LOVELY work!
Fantastic work -- your quilts are so inspiring. I need to get going on the sewing machine!
Quite possible the best Quilt Show Ever! I love the yellow one you made for your friends wedding. Very bright and happy. But of course, I love them all.
These are all gorgeous! I love the Denise Schmidt-inspired ones...just wonderful!
WOW! I'm so impressed with all of these quilts! You help redefine the "quilt"! Thank you for the show!
Ooooh! I love the online quilt show! All of your quilts are gorgeous.
I hear you on the Denyse Schmidt Quilts pattern pieces. I'm sure they're useful for people who don't quilt a lot, or who don't have a lot of confidence in their ability to improvise a block, but it would take me ten times longer to use them than to just improvise the block myself! (Such a great book though.)
wow, what a beautiful bunch of quilts!
You have quite a collection.
My favourites are the one you made for your friends wedding and the one titled HOP SKIP JUMP.
they are just lovely.
"Bravo, Bravo, Bravo!!! Wild applause and awe from this attendee! Dang, you make fabulous quilts. I love the hedgehog and of course all your improvisational quilts. Great show!
I love the Hedgehog quilt. :)
I'm glad you liked the magnet and that it brightened your day! You are very welcome. :)
so impressive! beautiful!
my gosh - you are so productive & talented! I agree with many of the other posters - you are very inspiring! I made one {small} quilt and felt like I was hot stuff... but you, my dear, are the bomb!
can't wait to see what you do next :)
I really enjoyed seeing all your quilts. Thanks for the show.
This is such a beautiful and colorful post - I would be so proud if I had made so many lovely quilts. I think that the Denise Schmidt one is beautiful too ... but the hedgehogs and I love the stripey ones too .... too many to choose from - all really really lovely.
I LOVE this post. It is great seeing all your quilting works together. You've got such a talent for quilting, and a great eye for design. I'm a bit bummed because I finished my third ever quilt last night, and I just got in done in time to give to my mum who was catching a plane to my brother (the quilt is for their baby who is due in about 4 days) and of course...I forgot to take a photo. Dammit!!!! Ah well...
Hi Betty. I desperately want to learn how to make quilts and wonder if you could point me in the right direction of tips, books or whatever. How did you learn?
Wow, your quilts are amazing! Beautiful :)
love the quilts. I dont even usually like quilts but these could get me into it! also, love love the mini ones!
LOVE your what a bunch of squares quilts! Gives me an idea of what I want to do for my month... :)
